Another beautiful lawn conversion with Mindful Construction, Inc. Starting with a clean slate surrounded by all new hardscape, the softscape design called for mostly low-maintenance + low water requirements. The slight exceptions to those criteria being the client requested roses. I selected Rosa ‘Ebb Tide’ Floribunda + Rosa ‘Twilight Zone’ Grandiflora for their incredibly color and compact size. Creating separate mounded beds for these selections allowed for the rest of the beds to be filled with a mix of non-invasive ornamental grasses and succulents. Highlights include: Calandrinia spectabilis, Olea europaea ‘Little Ollie’ tree form, and Magnolia grandiflora ‘Teddy Bear’.
